I FINALLY got around to completing my application with BizFilings for the startup. Feels good to have it out of the way. I look forward to getting the paperwork in hand because there are some things that I need to get done which require proof of the corporation's existence. I love progress!

Congratulations on your decision to incorporate. Too many people begin a new business without protecting their personal assets.
Did you end up ordering the CORPORATE KIT too? I've found that a corporate binder is a great tool for organizing everything - particularly if you have more than one LLC or corporation. I've used BizFilings and I think the kit they include is top-notch.

Yeah, I am still considering setting up a personal LLC. I do some consulting on the side, but since I may scale that work back to leave more time for the software biz, the LLC is up in the air now.
As for purchasing the corporate kit, I *think* I did, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I wonder if I can order it separately if I didn't originally order it. Hmmm.
I've setup a few companies before in a previous life, so incorporation wasn't a question. As well, for this new project, there are some hard and fast requirements for a business entity that can prove its existence. That's the reason for getting this done so expediently.
